Dear pilots,

Let me inform you about oncoming annual air military exercise FLYING RHINO.

This fifth volume is a bit different from the previous year’s ones. It is my pleasure to notify you of confirmed participation of the virtual Royal Netherland Air Force (vRNLAF). As a part of the exercise, vRNLAF agreed not only to fly in Flying Rhino 2011; they, furthermore, offered us the services of one of his military air traffic controller, and we are going to accept this challenge. It will be honour to welcome our guests in the Czech airspace and exercise together.


Flying Rhino 2011 is going to take place From 19 SEP 11 to 04 OCT 11. The exercise will be performed in restricted portion of airspace designated as MCTR Meřin, MTMA I Meřin, MTMA II Meřin, JERBOA 1 - 4, RAT 1 - 6, TC 1, 2, and in restricted areas LK R1, LK R3A, LK R3B, LK TRA 64, LK TRA 65, and LK TRA 70 (see General Briefing).

To the traffic handling in TC1 and TC2 areas - read carefully!


As you maybe noticed, the areas TC1 and TC2 are overlapping with MTMA I/II Měřín and MCTR Měřín.



Traffic in thess areas will be handled as followed:

TC1 is used for flight from RAT to JERBOA areas, only.
TC2 is used for flight from JEBROA to RAT areas, only.


Crossflying between RAT and JERBOA will be carried in FL60, only!


Flights arriving/departing to/from Měřín field airport (LKME) will be cleared to descend/climb to 4000 ft AMSL.


Flights crossing from RAT to JERBOA (and other way round) will be cleared to enter TC1/2 only after reaching/maintaining FL60, not earlier.






SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:


Mo 19 SEP 11 - Opening Event
The Netherland C-130 are now located at Kbely Airbase. The aim of the event will be to escort your colleagues on the way from Kbely to Náměšť Airbase.

The event is intended as opening training and is proper for practising of military procedures (break up apch, over-head apch, group flights).


Th 22 SEP 11 - Fly over to Ostrava
As a part of weekly Czech Online Days, this event takes place. The aim is to become familiar with the restricted areas and to practice flying by OAT rules.

Furthermore, since NATO DAYS airshow takes place in the real world life during the weekend of 24 and 25 SEP, after termination of the military flights pilots are asked to re-fuel at Náměšť or Čáslav Airbases, and to fly-over to this airshow.

Su 25 SEP 11 - Back to Exercise
Event is intended as an usual “civil” on-line evening. The military traffic fly-over back from Ostrava to Náměšť and Čáslav Airbases.


!!! Su 02 OCT 11 - Rhino Event 2011 !!!
The Top of thy Flying Rhino 2011 exercise. Pilots can try to take off or land on the bussiest Czech high way which was in on of its part contracted also as a runway. Furthermore, in Měřín PAR (precision radar approach) will be provided. Pilot can also expect few various military missions (as every year).


Su 09 OCT 11 - Home Coming
On-line evening which is intended to our Netherland colleagues to come back on their home bases. I guess, Czech pilots will escort them and break up on the boarder.




Further information will proceed. To let the topic useable also for Netherland colleagues, news are going to be written in English.

Tak doufám, že přiletíš aspoň s A319 ze Gbel jako prostý IFR let na průlet nad dráhou nebo si vyzkoušet PAR v Měříně. Jako není potřeba z toho mít nějaký extrémní strach.

Doufám, že si netrhneme ostudu a účast bude hojná. Eventy podpoříte "v nejhorším" případě i tím, že poletíte kolem inkriminovaných prostorů jako civilní provoz. I to je zajímavé pro všechny účastníky. Ono, když je půlka republiky uzavřená, létá se trošku jinak a v oblasti BODAL - BITSI kolem sebe a pod sebou uvidíte hemžící se vojenský provoz.

por. Linhart (hodnost si doplní sám).

Have already a question, which area is most often used for low-level training of Cargo aircraft, Am-26 Casa 295M etc? Normal training no exercise.

I guess real mil ATCos will answer soon; however, I think one of the areas which are used for this kind of training is Jeseníky mountain (TSA 51) - situated in the north of the Czech Republic by the Polish boarder.

This mountain region is very often used for low-profile military flights.

But as I said before, I am not an expert, and I hope we (both) get more concrete answer very soon.


One more note, An-26 is not a part of Czech Air Force any more. They were displaced in April of this year. Few pictures from the ceremony could be found under this link:

Mám zkušenost Leadera českých Red Arrows podání ... Machalínek , Liška.
Nemám problem se přeorientovat na \" lévé / pravé \" křídlo.

No na VATSIMu mám jedinou zkušenost s Tomášem Cápem při letu LKTB-LKPR L-159. Připojení pouze přes SB, kdyby jsme to kombinovali přes Hamachi tak mám problém, prostě ho nerozchodím.

Tak trénovat, bando. Máte ještě nějakých čtrnáct dní, a pak další dva týdny létání v zeleném.

Ad létání ve formaci: obecně dobré. Toto vysoce vítáno. Ale pozor, ať to neskončí blamáží. Pokud by toto někteří jedinci natrénovali, mohli by našim zahraničním kolegům poskytnout doprovod (samozřejmě za předpokladu, že by o to oni sami stáli).

Na formaci je hamachi více než nutné, Gripen do formace je asi jeden z nejnáročnějších výcviků co se týče virtuálu.

Doporučil bych určitě zprovoznit Hamachi a začít na něčem pomalejším - pokud neni žádná zkušenost tak i Alca s váma zacvičí že nebudete vědět čí jste. Mluvim z vlastní zkušenosti na uvod bych vzal Extru je to velmi obratný a zároveň pomalejší než prouďáky.

Jestli se chcete udržet ve formaci i v zatáčkách, je nejvyšší čas s tim něco dělat.

Velmi dobrá simulace je AI military traffic CEF z peráku. v offlinu mužete trenovat do aleluja. Formace mam na mysli vzdálenost max 10m nikoliv 10nm. \"\"\" dokud neuvidíš kolegovi do kokpitu jsi stále daleko \"\"\"

BTW, když je tu řeč o formacích, dneska jsem nad Neratovicemi (cca oblast ERASU, PR532, NER VOR) viděl 2x prolítávat parádní formaci sedmi L39 (v tu chvíli jsem ovšem netušil, ani co je to za stroje, ani co tu chtějí, jen jsem užasle civěl a pokřikoval na rodinu, ať se taky všichni na tu parádu dívaj). Letěli dost nízko a pomalu, hodně natěsno blízko sebe, v luxusní delta formaci. Něco takovýho jsem tady, kde je to samý Áčko nebo Béčko točící do ILSu 24, ještě neviděl. Našel jsem, že to byli Francouzi, skupina Breitling Jet Team, kteří budou zítra na airshow Hradci. Máte někdo zkušenost? Má cenu tam jet?
Sorry za lehčí offtopic, ale vyprovokovala mě ta vaše diskuze o formacích.

Nu, já se téměř určitě některých částí zúčastním s L39, jen s největší pravděpodobností bude následovat SAR mise...

Ještě dodám, že jsem je teď našel na LiveATC v archivu LKPR APP 15:00 - 15:30Z, dávali low pass RWY24 (prvně cca 5:56 min, řídící jim ze zvyku chtěl opakovat ATIS a QNH, pak mu došlo, že jde o něco trochu jinýho, než normálně cleared ILS cca 18 min, Low pass cca 20.min). Zdá se, že ani pro řídící a ostatní letadla to nebylo úplně všední.
