The Kharkiv Radar is dead, long live the Dnipro Radar!
At midnight, March 11th, 2010 one of Ukrainian FIR will disappear and… new one will appear! On this day Kharkiv FIR (UKHV) will become Dnipropetrovs’k FIR (UKDV).
Don\'t be afraid of this long and complicated name! Even a 10 years son of an experienced Tower controller will easily manage to pronounce the callsign of the new Dnipropetrovs\'k FIR\'s Radar: \"Dnipro Radar\"! Sounds easy!?
At March 14th, from 16 till 21 UTC we are inviting you to check, how callsign “Dnipro Radar” comes on the tip of your tongue or it sets your teeth on edge. For this event we will have three fully-staffed airports within the new Dnipropetrovs’k FIR: Dnipropetrovs’k (UKDD), Donets’k (UKCC) and for those who thinks \"Dnipro\" is too easy, visit Zaporizhzhia (UKDE)!
The Ukraine FSS controller brings you from any point in Ukrainian airspace to Dnipropetrovs’k FIR\'s boundary and back.
All charts and sceneries you can find on vACC Ukraine site.
This is the first time we will bring up so many controllers online at the same time in Ukraine: we expecting at least 9 controllers online! Come to Ukraine and say cherished “Dnipro Radar”!
