The “Berlin Air Show“ (also known as ILA) is one of the most important aviation related exhibitions in the world. In September 2012 it is taking place again and we are celebrating this on VATSIM with a huge Fly-Inn at Berlin-Schönefeld (EDDB). The event is going to happen on Sunday, September 16th from 16 to 21z. The professional ATC-crew of VATSIM Germany is also able to handle loads of heavy traffic.

You’ll also have the unique possibility to get a preview of the new Berlin airport Willy Brandt (BER) which is being built south of the current airport, sharing one runway with Schönefeld. Its opening has been delayed until autumn 2013 due to technical problems, but the “Berlin Air Show “ will take place on the new area and the southern runway will be opening for the time of the exhibition.

Furthermore, we are offering you the chance, to perform flight shows. For our preparation we would kindly ask you, to send us the most important information (aircrafts, time, …) about your show via Email to: edbb at vatsim-germany.org

With all these possibilities there should be some fun for everyone. Whether you are doing local VFR sightseeing-trips or regular IFR-traffic, we are looking forward to your visit at Berlin!
