British Airways Virtual (www.bavirtual.co.uk) will host our first of hopefully many short-haul flyins on Sunday 11th September from Heathrow to Prague. The estimated block time is 02:00, departures from Heathrow at 18:00z, but a “window” of ± 30 mins and pilots are free to connect and begin their flight.
Hopefully ATC will be provided (Kris Thomson is dealing with this) and will offer the necessary slot control, if not, use of Unicom to liaise with other BAV pilots participating in the event, and, other pilots connected to the network is mandatory in co-ordinating departures.
Suggested Route
DVR UL9 KONAN UL607 AMASI UM149 BOMBI UL984 SULUS UZ650 TONSU UZ35 LOMKI
Aircraft Type
For this flyin, our pilots will be flying the British Airways shorthaul fleet.
Scenery
UK2000 scenery can be seen by visiting http://www.uk2000scenery.com/. There is the “Extreme UK Airport Scenery” option for highly detailed representation Heathrow, or the “UK2000 Scenery FREE!” option for a somewhat less detailed scenery, at least with a detailed ground layout representative of the current airport layout of Heathrow.
For Prague, freeware scenery for FS2004 and FSX can be found on VATSIM‘s Czech Republic VACC website at http://www.vacc-cz.o...x.php?sect=lkpr . Charts for Prague can also be found at the same web address.
