Sr. Precision Guidance Scientist-00202869
Description
Advanced Technology group is a research organization focusing on research in key areas of aerospace industry such as Air Traffic Management; Communication, Navigation, Surveillance & Control Systems; Embedded Systems.
Senior Precision Guidance Scientist will work in a global team including experienced professionals with backgrounds in navigation, data communication, air traffic management, and electronic aircraft equipment. The successful candidate will contribute to the operational and system design which is required for technology development of precision landing applications.
Work Description:
The candidate will contribute to various aspects of techniques for precision guidance systems design, including:
o Systems engineering/design
systems requirement capturing, systems design, prototype definition, prototype validation
forming certification plan for future products, performing supporting preliminary safety assessments
prototype transitioning into the product development
o Technical leadership and mentoring
providing technical directions in development of the future product
mentoring team members, providing them with respective technical expertise
o Growth
business acumen to work on the new project pursuits
involvement in the standardization committees
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Masters Degree or PhD in Aeronautical Engineering or related fields
Work experience of design/systems engineering/integration/validation of avionics components
Knowledge of CFR Part 23 or 25 regulatory environment and certification process
Knowledge of Safety assessment methods (e.g. Fault Hazard Analysis)
Fluent in English (written and spoken) is mandatory
Desirable
Aerospace domain knowledge of low visibility procedures for instrumented landing approaches are desired
Familiarity with HMI design (from design to human in the loop experiments)
Image processing knowledge/ experience with image processing algorithms
Research attitude and Business acumen
Private Pilot license – strong operational knowledge and own pilot experience
