Hi Jiri,
Thanks for your kind comments - that article was written quite some years ago, and it´s only intent was to serve as inspiration! It obviously has, and I´m happy about that :-)
To answer your question, there is actually two ways to manage this. The first way I did it, was to stretch a panel bitmap over two monitors. My main graphic card was an API and that one was running the FS-outside view. In addition I hooked up two PCI-graphic cards on the same computer, which I spreaded the panel bitmap over.
The second way, which I adopted a couple of years later, was to run Project Magentas glass cockpit software on two additional computers hooked up through a network. Simple and swift, although much more expensive...
There is basically nothing holding you back to try the PCI-suggestion. All you need is available slots. PCI-graphic cards are cheap to buy ( they were cheap even then...) and once you have installed them, you only have to right click the panel in FS and select \"undock\". After that you simply drag them to the secondary (and third, and fourth...) monitor and position it there. If you save the flight, the panel will be in the same position next time you start FS.
It will however get slightly more complicated when you want to fine tune this... The gauges do not \"match\" 100% since they are written for a single monitor (and not two monitors). You will have to rewrite the Panel.CFG in order to position the gauges more exactly where you want them. On occasional single gauges, you may have to rewrite the complete gauge. Today, however, there are lots of programs that can help you with this, so it should really note pose any problems.
I wish you the best of luck!
/Patric

Hello Patrick,
I have seen your article \"do it yourself\" and I think that it is very good idea to build quite cheap cockpit.
I have 1 question for this cockpit - how I can manage on each monitor different instruments ? Do I need more computers in network or 1 computer is enaugh ?
Thank you
Jiri
